Who's behind this conference?

As almost all Python and PyData conferences this event is run and organised by volunteers contributing free time and supported by community sponsors contributing work time of their employees. Any conference profits will go back to the community and Open Source via the Python Softwareverband e. V. and NumFocus.

What can I do to support?

Ticket prices

In view of high inflation rate of 10%, we are currently examining whether we can maintain the 2022 prices.

For budget planning please refer to our 2022 ticket prices.

Ticket prices include VAT

All ticket prices include 19% VAT.
Conferences are taxable in the country where the conference takes place, so the EU VAT reverse charging mechanism cannot be applied. However, companies can easily apply for a VAT refund from the authorities.

All your messages go into our dedicated helpdesk and there are 🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🙋‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️ multiple volunteers happy to assist.
Messages to financial aid are limited to the same small team heandling the grants for privacy.

Bad Practices

Volunteers are not a 24/7 helpline. Volunteers give their free time to the community to organise this conference.
We consider it bad practice to contact volunteers in other ways, e.g. directly by email, Twitter or other social media, or by phone.
